Donna
Mabrey
Donna began her career working as an apprentice for a successful Interior
Designer in Atlanta, Georgia. Soon she was proficient in applying her blossoming
decorative art skills to the interior design industry. In a short time, Donna
was established as a sought after decorative artist in greater Atlanta. Upon her
completion of two historic Bed and Breakfast Inns in Highlands, North Carolina,
her name became synonymous with excellence.
Being passionate about her work, Donna continues to upgrade her skills by taking
classes throughout the United States offered by the Stencilers Artisan League,
Inc. (SALI), as well as other various workshops around the country. She has also
been invited by SALI, for the last 10 years, to be an instructor in her field of
expertise.
After many years of dedication to her craft, she has perfected her own unique
style and application principles. Never forgetting "the basics", she
has developed a "work smarter, not harder" technique. Thus was
"born" her "Faux Finish and Business Workshop", that is currently
available.
She has received many rave reviews from those attending. As an experienced muralist
wrote, ..." I would recommend this class to other artists...this workshop
was worth the effort". (Georgia) A beginner student writes,..."I
believe you gave me the techniques and technical knowledge to make a
living". (Ohio) The general consensus, as one student puts it, " I
could not be more pleased". She is now offering various specialized
workshops.
Donna is not just "interested" in what
she does, but is totally committed:
As an active member of the Stencilers Artisan League, Inc. (SALI), and The Society of Decorative Painters (SDP).
